ART
The beginning of a specialized education in the SOU "St. St Cyril and Methodius" in the town of Vidin was set in 1985 when the first classes of art started, the program of which was found by Vesselin Marinov. Today the special education is done with 10 students in groups from the 1st up to XIIth grade. They study painting, graphics, modeling, wood-carving, fashion design, mural painting, iconography. The classes are taught from teachers-specialists.
Students participate in school, regional, national and international exhibitions that are traditional and they have won a lot of awards. Many students continue their education at high schools, specialized it arts in Bulgaria, Romania, Spain and other countries. Some of our former students are well-known in painting, graphics, posters, icon, sculpture and design artists.
Students can enroll the school after a successful competition having completed 8th grade and the entering exam (the date of the exam is specified additionally).Except the average performance from the certificate of a completed 8th grade, the marks from Bulgarian language and literature the entering exam in art takes part, too.

EXPLANATORY NOTES
1. The entrance is done with a competition exam according to the order and the conditions set by the regulation from the Ministry of Education.
2. The secondary education is completed by successfully graduating XII grade
3. In XI and XII grade the specialized education in art is differentiated in art studios according to the wishes, necessities and possibilities of the students, the school, the region and the qualification of the teachers.
4. For each grade are foreseen 60 classes for school practice ? Plener. It is obligatory and is done according to a program by the teacher.
5. The choice of a foreign language is considered with the wishes of the students and their parents and according to the possibilities of the school.
6. The course of education is completed with two obligatory state mature exams at: Bulgarian language and literature and one subject from the curriculum according to their own choice.
